Times, They are a Changing...

It's hard to blog when everything seems to be falling apart. Within the last week, so many things have happened and it's been hard to find the focus to sit down and write about them. But, now I'll try. Monday was rather uneventful as I recall. I mostly tried to deal with the work situation, and not faint from the heat. Tuesday, I made cinnamon rolls, which turned out pretty good, though they sort of fell apart during the rolling.

Tuesday, I went to yoga and spent some time with my mom. Then just did stuff around the house, since M and I are currently broke.

Wednesday, I finished knitting my cowl (cause, you know, everyone needs a toasty cowl during 90 degree weather).

So Thursday, I hung out with my mom as usual and later made some Black Bottom Muffins (chocolate/cream cheese) and actually made another batch a couple of days later. Some time during the week, I also went to Weatherstone with Dustin and enjoyed some tea, as we talked about his move to Arcata the next day. Also, I think on Thursday, Mom, M, and I wandered around Sac State and found all the buildings I'd be taking classes in. I bought a sweatshirt (30% off coupon) and joined the school gym. The gym was actually a great surprise - they have a wonderful floor full of "state of the art" cardio equipment! Anyway, I am now finishing this post a week after I started, so hopefully I didn't leave too much out. I think it's strawberry vodka time.

Yesterday was a completely shitty experience. I spent the first hour of work in search of my schedule, only to subsequently discover that it was missing because my hours are being cut and switched... again. The amount of dishonesty and bullshit and disrespect that goes on there is astounding. So I wasted almost an hour being lied to about my schedule, did some work, went on break, did more work, was pulled into the office to be told that I will basically never meet these peoples' expectations, spent my whole lunch period bawling, and worked some more. After work, I went home and basically sat in front of the tv all night since I was too emotionally drained to do anything else. I made myself a Sidecar and began knitting a cowl/scarf. So far today, I've knitted more, and looked at a few possible employment opportunities. I have to work from 4-8:30pm today, but then I'm off for a few. I think I'll make some cinnamon rolls when I get home. Wish me luck at work...
